DOJ’s website removes several Epstein files, including Trump photo
More than a dozen records that were part of the recently released investigative material are said to be no longer accessible online. Commenting on the removal, Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee wrote on a social media platform: "This photo, file 468, from the Epstein files that includes Donald Trump has apparently now been removed from the DOJ release."
The lawmakers urged Attorney General Pamela Bondi to ensure "transparency for the American public."
According to reports, the withdrawn materials also included images of various artworks, some of which featured nudity.
The reported removals followed the Justice Department’s release on Friday of thousands of pages linked to the sex trafficking investigation involving Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
That disclosure took place on the final day of the 30-day deadline set under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, legislation that required the Justice Department to make all documents related to the investigation public.
