Starlink Suspends New Subscriptions in Indonesia
According to a statement on its website, the satellite internet provider run by Elon Musk’s SpaceX said, “Starlink service is currently unavailable for new customers in your area due to sold-out capacity across Indonesia.”
In addition, the company revealed it is suspending the activation of new kits for clients who purchased Starlink devices from retail outlets or unofficial distributors.
Nevertheless, the company assured potential customers that they can still secure a place in line by paying a deposit. They will receive an alert once the service is back in stock.
“Please note that we cannot provide an estimated timeframe for availability, but our teams are collaborating with local authorities to bring Starlink to Indonesia as soon as possible,” the company further stated.
This development follows Starlink’s formal entry into the Indonesian market on May 19 of the previous year, an event marked by Elon Musk’s presence at the launch ceremony held in Bali.
